About

I am a lifelong Oregonian married to another lifelong Oregonian. We met as undergraduates at Portland State University were I got my BS in Arts & Letters with a minor in English and my MEd in secondary education with a focus on Language Arts instruction.

Despite my deep Oregon roots I love learning about people and places and am a bit of a magpie for facts about other cultures. Don’t be surprised if I seem genuinely interested in you, I am.

I also love baking, reading, comedy, sewing, crafting, and gaming. My latest deep dives have been herbalism, foraging and wildcrafting. Strike up a conversation and I might have something to share or a million questions to ask.

I’ve spent a few years pursuing a career in education hoping to spread my love of reading to future generations. While I am exploring new opportunities I will always love sharing knowledge and a good book recommendation. I have spent the last 2 plus years working for a small company doing tech support. I love my team and have been very fortunate to be able to work from home through all of the Covid craziness. While the careers seem very different there are a surprising number of transferable skills.
